From taco trucks to sit-down restaurants, we’ll be traveling across the county, sampling everything from carne asada to crispy fish tacos, and sharing reviews, photos, and standout finds.

Tulare County is home to some of California’s most authentic Mexican food. The region's rich agricultural history and close-knit Mexican-American community contribute to a traditional and unique culinary scene. In fact, the U.S. Census Bureau reports that 67% of Tulare County's population is of Hispanic or Latino descent, bringing authentic family recipes, bold spices, and street-food culture to the forefront of local eateries. From taco trucks to brick-and-mortar restaurants, Tulare County’s taco scene is an essential part of its identity, reflecting the diversity of flavors that make this area a true Mexican food destination.
