Help Us Celebrate National Entrepreneurship Month by Supporting Tulare County’s Innovative Business Owners
November 25, 2024
The Tulare County Economic Development Office (EDO) is celebrating local entrepreneurs and their accomplishments this November for National Entrepreneurship Month! We are thrilled to be the home of an ever-innovative group of entrepreneurs who are dedicated to the creation of products and services that bring new life to our economy.
What is National Entrepreneurship Month?
National Entrepreneurship Month takes place in November and National Entrepreneurs' Day is observed every third Tuesday of November, occurring this year on the 19th. Both offer a time to celebrate the efforts of entrepreneurs in communities across the U.S. that better the economy locally and nationally. Not only do they produce new and improved goods, services, and ideas, but their businesses also help with job creation. The more new companies are launched, the more employment opportunities become available to the public.

In the last 25 years, small businesses have created over 60 percent of new jobs, just one of the many important reasons to direct holiday spending toward small businesses. Shopping small can be as easy as grabbing a bite to eat from one of our local restaurants or checking off your gift list with purchases from our unique array of retailers. Many favorite shopping memories are made when visiting a small business in Tulare County. There is something special about shopping at a local store where the owners greet you by name, swap stories, and ask how your family is doing. You will undoubtedly experience this type of friendly atmosphere in our fantastic community!
Our small businesses bring character to Tulare County, generate new jobs, strengthen the economy, and make for unique little adventures with friends and family. Join us in buying in-store and online from local independent retailers on Small Business Saturday, November 30th! You can even go the extra mile and give these independent retailers a satisfactory review online and share your interest on social media.
We also encourage you to join others in Tulare County on Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, by donating to your favorite charity. Giving Tuesday is a day where people throughout our community and the world donate to the causes they are passionate about. It encourages us to look beyond the busyness of the holiday season and consider those in our community who may need our help and support, along with the charities standing in the gap for those in need.
By celebrating entrepreneurs and small businesses, we are also celebrating the power of our community members to foster growth. For more information about how the EDO supports our local businesses, click here!
