July 23, 2024
TeamCalifornia and the County of Tulare are pleased to announce that Rob Taylor, the local entrepreneur behind regional favorites Stafford’s Chocolates and Reimer’s Candies, is coming on board as an Exhibitor-level sponsor for the upcoming 10th Annual Meet the Consultants and Economic Development Forum. The event is being hosted by the County of Tulare and will take place at the Visalia Convention Center from August 6 - 8, 2024. Stafford’s Chocolates is currently available for purchase to Yosemite National Park visitors, offering the chance to enjoy world-renowned natural beauty while savoring delightful treats. In becoming the official chocolate sponsor of the Meet the Consultants forum, Stafford’s Chocolates will provide attendees with a taste of their exceptional products.
A dedicated entrepreneur, Rob Taylor is deeply committed to economic development in Tulare County. He serves on the board of the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC), an organization that both he and the County of Tulare are a part of. TCEDC, in turn, is a member of TeamCalifornia, which is organizing the upcoming forum. The event will bring together national site selection consultants, business leaders, and economic developers to discuss statewide opportunities for investment and growth.
“Rob Taylor’s sponsorship of the Meet the Consultants event is a testament to his ongoing support for community causes and his efforts to create jobs in California,” said Robin Reimold, CEO and President of Team California.
Rob Taylor has built a successful business centered on high-quality, delicious confections and handmade beverages. Starting with Stafford’s Chocolates, his first location in Porterville, California, he has expanded to five candy shops across the region. The commitment to finding new opportunities for expansion has helped make Mr. Taylor a skilled site selector in his own right. He has carefully researched and vetted new locations for his expanding businesses, including one in Three Rivers, California, on the way to the Giant Sequoias and locations in Avila Beach, San Luis Obispo and Oakhurst.
“Rob’s experience and insights will undoubtedly contribute to the forum’s discussions on site selection and economic development,” said Michael Washam, ACE, Associate Director of the County of Tulare’s Resource Management Agency, who directs economic development efforts for the County of Tulare.
Other sponsors in or near Tulare County include Eagle Mountain Casino, the City of Visalia, the City of Porterville, the City of Tulare, the City of Fresno, and the Pacific Gas & Electric Company. Sponsorships are still available, and registration for the event is still open. The TeamCalifornia Meet The Consultants and Economic Development Forum promises to be a valuable event for all attendees and will provide unique networking opportunities and expert insights into the future of economic development in California.
