TCEDC Requests Higher Contributions From Exeter

EXETER – The TCEDC revealed new goals, projects and financial needs at the Exeter City Council meeting, where they requested twice as much in contributions as the current contribution.

On Aug. 8, the Exeter City Council met with Airica de Oliveira, CEO of the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC) to discuss the services the TCEDC can provide for the city. In its presentation, the TCEDC also asked council to increase their contributions to the organization from $2,500 to $5,000.

However, council instead voted to postpone their decision regarding the increased contribution to the TCEDC until the next city council meeting on Sept. 12. According to the city clerk, the council is also asking the TCEDC for more information regarding the previous benefits they have provided to Exeter.
